Depending on reset, it's possible or impossible to add segments to end loop (on all platforms for a specific solution: windows, Mac, linux).
I didn't find the contextt of the bug, but once it's not possible on a solution, it remains impossible.

One of my teammates was unable to add residues to the end (residue 106) of 1422. He was using original interface. When I suggested he switch to selection interface, he found he was able to add the residues that way. Not sure if this is the same problem or not.

Try clicking on the sidechain of the end segment rather than the backbone: seems weird but it worked for me.
