Account Registration via Application Issue

Using Mac OSX.
I encountered this problem: I open the program and try to register a new account, but when I have to insert my email address, I can't type '@' character.
I think it's because the 'alt' key is disabled. In my Italian keyboard I can't write '@' character without the 'alt' key.
Maybe there isn't this problem only with the Italian keyboard.

Obviously I can move around this obstacle registering via web.

I hope to have been helpful and not redundant!

A family member created the "Queen Luxa" account. I would like my own account, but when I click on "create account" the "Queen Luxa" account is displayed and I cannot edit it. How do I create a new account?
