As pointed out by bcre8tvv in #veteran, the rankings in the "beginner" category do not seem to be accurate.
bcre8tvv scored 94 points on the Staph. A. puzzle which ended 5/8/17, 73 points on the Parabacteriodes puzzle which ended 5/3/17, and 100 points on the Easy Mini Freestyle which ended 4/27/17, for a total of 267 points.
At the moment, bcre8tvv has beginner rank 18, with total of 90 points.
The beginner category includes "your best 3 out of the last 3 puzzles". As the result of a duplication, there were two instances of the symmetry design puzzle which expired 5/25/17. There was also a docking design which closed 5/18/17. Based on what the web site is showing, these are the "last 3 puzzles".
It looks like bcre8tvv did not play any of these puzzles, and so should have zero score in the beginner category.
I suspect that the process which updates the beginner rankings may have encountered an error. Perhaps the duplicated beginner puzzles confused it. (See duplicated beginner puzzles.)
I haven't checked any of the other categories, but will update this feedback if I find anything.
