I got kicked out of chat at approximately 10:45 AM CDT. I tried logging into the irc server through mibbit.com, and got the error message that it was unable to connect to the Foldit chat server. I'm going to assume this is global, and no players can chat.

Looks like the FolditChat server is up and running again.
Some data that my HexChat client registered:

2021-04-02 15:47:51 UTC Disconnected (Remote host closed socket)
Hope this helps to find the cause of the crash.
