This is not a suggestion, it is a serious bug.
Same here, Chatzila no longer works.
You're right I was busy changing all my settings thinking it might be me; or they changed the portal and forgot to tell us
Could be they restored a backup with other settings for the port yesterday during the outage of which I read nothing for an explanation…
To all, if you are running chatzilla and have the same problem, please 'up' the score on this post, so we have a view on how widespread this issue is.
I have upgraded to the latest version of chatzilla, no luck. I have checked my virusscanner, I can chat in-game on the same machine so traffic is not blocked by firewall or visrusscanner.
I would like to have an update on whether anything was changed at the time of the recent outage at Foldit. Also, it would be nice to undertsnad what went wrong and whether we would need to take some action.
Especially, if foldit changes portnumbers or other connection settings for chat.
Try a different chat client - mIRC is working fine, no disconnects.
Why do you think it's Foldit and not your client ?
because i have been here since it started and only now has my chatzilla failed and un fact yesterday it worked
Yup, 3 weeks less than me.
And mIRC is still working without a hitch. Doesn't sound like an IRC server issue.
Mike, try disabling DCC in the chatzilla settings. Works for me now apparently. Dont know why it no longer worked as that setting was never changed.
@foldit: Did Foldit start making use of it since the crash ?
