For some reason the Creat New Account dialog in Foldit will not let the user insert the @ (at-sign) in the Eamil field via standard PC Alt-2 Spanish keyboard (PC with Win XP)

The game user interface uses "dashes" and "X"s to indicate "yes" and "no" checkbox status respectively.
This is confusing!
Please change checkboxes to "checkmark" and "X" for "yes" and "no", respectively, as this is what everybody uses. No point really asking everybody to re-learn standard GUI symbols.
Foldit only installs with an english GUI. This is disappointing and a severe bug because it simply means Foldit doesn't work for all non-english speakers.
Please fix this and add chinese, hindi and spanish asap.
Game translation is pretty much self-service.

"Create New Account dialog in Foldit will not let the user insert the @ (at-sign) in the Eamil field…"
I had the same problem today on my Mac desktop using a Spanish keyboard where one must press Alt-2 to type @. Solved it by closing the local application, going to the fold.it website, and creating my account there. There was no problem entering my email address on the online form.
Hope this doesn't deter potential members. Oh, wait, is this the first puzzle? Did you do this on purpose so that only truly determined and perservering gamers would succeed in opening an account?
Diabolical!
Also in the Mac Version (can't compare to others) when trying to create an account in the game, there is no possibility to accept the terms, so account creation is not possible.
Got around the @-Bug, by typing an @ in some other application and copying it over.
This is the same issue as http://fold.it/portal/node/994223
