DNA can be cut, cut can't be closed

In the GUI, you can select two adjacent DNA segments, and then open a cut.

The cut can't be closed, however. The message "Can't close, not protein!" appears.

The Lua version is not affected, so a recipe can open and close cuts normally. For example, the recipe Close Cuts works, although you should set the max length parm to zero.
