Graphical display issues after recent updates

After recent updates, all of the text display areas are highly distorted such that they cannot be read. The graphical distortion does not extend to the 3D renderings however. I suspect my problem lies with my graphics display, as I have had other problems with the Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset. I have attached a screen shot depicting the graphical distortion I have been experiencing. Any additional information as to how I could resolve the problem would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried updating your graphics drivers? And do you have any other applications which use OpenGL which you can test to see if they have this problem as well?

I found updates for my graphics drivers, but the updates didn't fix the problem. As for OpenGL programs, I'm not sure. I do have similar issues with using windows aero.
