I received a join request for a group Vefold, originating from 'admin', 'Staff' without any further explanation or comments.
Upon inspection the group has one member and low scores. I would rate this request as suspicious and the fact that the join mail comes from 'admin' is, to me, severely misleading. Please check this and change the sender of join request messages. You might also want to check a breach of security if user 'admin' indeed sent this message.

You've been invited to join the group Vefold."
Me too.
Maybe a 1st April joke
Same here, maybe the invitation was sent too all.
I didn't get the message. Poor me.
Odd, I'm not sure if this was a glitch, a hack, or just carxo inviting people to Vefold. I'll try a little experiment.
OK, it's just the new system. Invitations to join a new group come from "admin" instead of the group owner issuing the invitation. So carxo was inviting a few people to join Vefold. It's confusing in part because "admin" is also group admin for the "vi users" group.
Also, for whatever reason, "admin" is hard to find in the users area. A search for "admin" shows lots of hits, but in seemingly random order. The exact match for "admin" didn't show up until the third page in one search I did, right after "admin123". On a second search, "admin" appears on page 2.
Then there are the obvious spam accounts like "Administrator of Fold It", dating from 2012.
Of course, it's not clear when if ever there will be any changes.
Shame on carxo for not inviting jeff101.
Thank you for reporting this!
We're trying to fix this… especially the fact that poor jeff101 was left out ;-)
The old system also allowed a custom message to be sent along with the invitation. This might tend to decrease confusion.
And @phi16 notes that if you search for "Vefold" in the groups area, you get a list of 40 or so Vefolds.
