Untill now, I didn't succeed to install the new Foldit. On Windows (default free version), I get a "library not found" error. On Linux Ubunto 17, nothing happens. What are the minimum requirements?

I'm still having problems with one Windows system. Unfortunately, it's my main system. Haven't tried Ubunto yet.
On Windows, Foldit won't start on that one machine, complaining about not finding game_library.dll. Foldit is on a network share, and two other Windows machines can run it from there, referencing the same files.
An earlier version of Foldit from dev.fold.it was running just fine on the problem machine. The problems didn't start until a new version was posted, about 3 September.

Foldit should be compatible with Ubuntu 14.04 and later. Can you say more about what happens when you try to install on Ubuntu?
Are you able to successfully download and install the Foldit app, or is there trouble with the download?
If you were able to install Foldit, but it fails to launch, can you check for the log.txt file in the Foldit data directory? If the log.txt file exists, can you share it here?
I have downloaded and installed on Win10 and foldit runs the first time from the install window. If I try to have multiple instances running, the second instance will not start - the second window just disappears while the original instance continues to run. After a system shutdown and restart, foldit will not start at all, again the window just disappears. I have to uninstall and then reinstall to get it to start again :(
UPDATE: Hopefully this will help others. I cleared the Windows Registry. Apparently, there were some straggler entries from a previous installation on a different drive that that didn't get cleaned up. It's working fine now.
The program i have got as a renamed file. I downloaded twice. After both downloads the size was the same, so i simply renamed it to exe. Than was working :)

There is no log.txt file neither options.txt file
When trying to run Foldi, abolutely nothing happens.
