As pointed out by @drumpeter18yrs9yrs there's a problem with notes when using the trim tool.
It turns out that any notes added to a trimmed section are lost when it's untrimmed.
Some recipes add notes to record results. It appears these notes would be lost on untrim.
So far, I've only tested manually added notes, but I expect the recipe version of adding notes would work the same way.
Another wrinkle: if you save a trimmed post with an added note, the note is lost when you load the save. The trimmed area does get saved, however.
fun fact cuts added while trimmed also get removed when you untrim. didn't know if this was intentional.
you can use this for additional points. some times when you close a cut your score drops. this method of closing cuts using untrim never leads to a score drop.
