Puzzle 2406 allows cuts in DNA that cannot be closed anymore.
Select two adjacent segments, use the cut tool and then try to close it. You'll get a message it is not protein.

I understand that you are trying to help by offering a workaround LociOiling, thank you. But for the sake of earning points we are trying to apply patches to a buggy puzzle (and client) that are not scientifically sound. I will halt folding on this util we have a properly set up variant of this puzzle. It is not my task to debug faulty software and puzzles at my own expense. I pay for my time and I pay for my electricity bill.

@"Bletchley Park" Probably not. I don't think we explicitly have tracked this one down yet. The DNA related changes from release #30 might have affected it, but I'm guessing the issue lies in some different (as yet unidentified) bit of code from that changed for the release.
