The crash doesn't look to be related to the puzzle loading, but instead is related to recipe library loading. It looks like a recipe file may be corrupt. If this error (where you get standalone::application::boinc::BoincObject<standalone::application::boinc::Recipe>::load_cache in the crash report log) is persistent, try deleting the local version of the recipe library (the contents of the recipies folder/directory) and see if that helps.
