A running client does not see the puzzle deadline extendeed when the deadline is extended on the website. It will show 'expired'.
The client also becomes very slow in refreshing the solutions list, downloads and puzzle loads.

I think puzzle in puzzle menu need to be reloaded to show this change.

Hi Rav, I do not want to stop my scripts mid-air and save the puzzle solution, then reload the puzzle and reload my saved solution so I can restart my script from scratch. I want the change to be propagated to the client whenever the deadline is changed.
That can be done by adding a system message to the acknowledge message that a client should receive when the heartbeat is being checked. If that has not been implemented yet this is a good moment to do that.
