scoring not working properly

in game I had score of 13315 and 8th place when it closed about an hour ago. Website says I have 12,916 with 30th place.

Did this have any other noticeable side effects after the score posting stopped working?

I see what you're referring to, on puzzle 2208, it currently says "5 days ago" for you, but "19 hours ago" for me.

Was your Foldit running for several days without a restart?

This sounds a lot like the classic disconnected client syndrome. The Foldit client somehow loses communication with the server, and doesn't realize it. You won't find out unless you restart the client. The client is likely to hang or crash when you try to shut down.

We were seeing this problem a lot just after the new website launched, but it seems much better now. Still, it happened on old Foldit, and it appears to happen on new Foldit as well.

I try to check in before a puzzle expires, just to make sure the scores are in sync. I also don't like to leave Foldit running too long, but sometimes I let recipes run for 48 hours or more.

Since Foldit seems to talk to the server a lot more than before, you'd think it would figure out that there's a problem and reset itself.

yes it was running since the puzzle started. I wasn't at home until an hour after the puzzle closed and I believe it did hang when I went to quit it.

@g_b yes I can see the Foldit server didn't receive any score updates or solutions from your client after Oct 8. If you have not restarted the Foldit client, then there may be useful information in the log.txt file that you could send us. Otherwise, it's hard to say what might have happened.

If you notice this again in the future, please share the log.txt file from the data directory of your Foldit client!

I had already restarted the client because it had hung when I went to quit the client. Went into Time machine and got the log from 10/11
