"Does the mrid (MacroRevisionID) change when the original author uploads a new version of the recipe to the Foldit site?"
Too many make minor and sometimes inadvertent changes without updating the name. It's actually a huge problem since some recipes behave quite differently. I've seen this in my group recently. Some of us are using the same NAMED recipe with quite different results. Upon examination, it had been changed without making any changes to the name and the newest version turned out to be quite useless.
The bottom line is all changes, no matter how minor, should have a name or version change.
