Once in a while, a server problem leaves the cookbook empty.
Unlike open/share solutions, the compound library, and other features which rely on the server, no error message appears in the cookbook. In other spots, a message like "there was an error getting shared solutions from the server" appears.
The refresh button usually populates the cookbook, but this may not be immediately evident to all players.
If communications fail:
- an error message should appear
- the failed lookup should be retried, but without blocking other actions
- since cached cookbook files are available, they could be used to populate the cookbook temporarily
