Since the shut down yesterday I have not been able to get back to Chat. As shown in the attached image, all I see are words "Joining Chat…"

Neither I can join in-game chat nor IRC.

The message I get in IRC is:

Strange that if this is a general problem, there isn't a bit of news on the homepage or application news screen that tells users it's being worked on? Perhaps it's not broken for everyone?

For what it's worth, I can't connect to the irc server through the game or any client I've tried. Moreover, the in-game scores (except my own) do not update for me, although I can save and restore shared solutions.

The game's purpose is diminished without real-time rankings.

Thanks for the bug reports. I've fixed the issues: the chat is up and the scores are updating. I just got in a few hours ago, that's why these weren't worked on before.

Group rooms (at least #RichardDawkinsFoundation) are still not working for me.

Also, did the irc server change silently at some point?

IRC was at game.bakerlab.org, now it seems to have moved to

foldit-web08.cs.washington.edu

Give that a try.
