I definitely agree that chat could be more robust. That's something I'd like to look into.

It would be nice if there were more options for scrolling up and down within an in-game Foldit Chat window. These could help when you've been doing too much scrolling and your hands, wrists, etc. are sore. Right now it seems you can use the scroll-wheel on the mouse, click the arrows at the top and bottom of the scrollbar, or click and drag the scrollbar up and down. Would it be possible to also let the Page-Up, Page-Down, up-arrow, and down-arrow buttons on the keyboard scroll text up and down?
When using Foldit's in-game Chat windows, I want the text to stay still in each window while I read it, but sometimes new text is added so fast that the text I am reading moves up before I am ready. Then I have to scroll up to find the text I was reading.
Would it be possible to have the position of the scrollbar (that gray pill-shaped thing on the right side of each Chat window) rise automatically so that as new text is added to the Chat window, the few lines of text visible in the Chat window stay still? This automatic scrollbar position adjustment could go on until the scrollbar has risen to the top of the Chat window. At that point, the scrollbar can move no further, and any new text added to the Chat window will shift the visible text up and off the Chat window.
The repositioning described in the previous paragraph will let the Chat windows always show the last text you viewed or the oldest text still available. Then when you return to a Chat window to read, you don't have to scroll up to find where you were. You can just scroll down and read new things.
