I have gotten several emails where there has been requests to change my password. I have not initiated these requests. There's not much else I can say about this other than the fact it is concerning.

Could you paste an example of the email here?

It sounds a bit like someone is trying a password reset for your Foldit screen name. A quick check shows there are over 500 "killer" names registered, so it could be an innocent mistake. I also see a little under 350 "kitty" names, and around 150 "kitten" names, including "Lethal_Kitten".

So just possibly someone with a similar name has had a little memory lapse. It could also be some sort of hack/scam, but trying for a password reset seems like a low probability play, since it would require having access to your email.

We will now pause to reflect on why there are so many killers among us.

I just tried the password reset link. The email I received starts with this:

A request to reset the password for your account has been made at Foldit.
