I just had a brain fart. What would be the possibility of having some sort of snap-to-grid functionality where you could position things precisely before shaking and wiggling?

It's an interesting idea. It's not clear to me how exactly it would snap. Snapping might just as easily pull the bonds out of their natural ranges in an attempt to get the pieces lined up on the grid.
I think this is a big feature, and it could be helpful but we'd need to collectively think more about how to implement it before we start working on it.
