Hi all. I just started playing Fold It, and I'm already hooked. Who knew protein folding could be fun? Anyway, I finished the intro puzzles and am eager to start working on the real proteins. However, every time I try to start one, I get the following error: "A timeout was reached due to excessive server load. Sorry for the inconvenience, please try again later." I get this every time, whether I play online or offline. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
It sounds like you have too slow connection… I had such problem one yaer ago.
I cannot believe I did not see that option on the front page. Thank you, vixxy, it worked. However, it begs the question of why the developers bothered to put it as an option. Would anyone actually want network timeouts?
some cases there are not good to disable it, especially when you want to upload rescipes and/or images: sometime waintin few minutes to finish it…
For me I alyways disable it ;]
