Hey everyone,

We're about to release an update to the developer preview with the following changes:

  • Filters

  • Added an HBond Network Filter. You can now get a score bonus for forming networks of hydrogen bonds.

  • Intro levels
  • Add/Modified instructions for the intro levels.
  • Increased the finishing score on Close the Gap.

A blog post will be posted soon explaining the Hydrogen Bond Network Filter. In the meantime, feel free to try out the new HBond Network Test puzzle in devprev!

  • In the filters section below the score, turn on the 'show' checkbox for the hbond filter.

Note that the bonds (dark blue) need to extend across multiple sidechains.

It may not be clear from the puzzle description that that is the place to activate the 'Hbond network visualization' referred to in the puzzle description. I initially looked in the view options.

The files written by this version are incompatible with the existing clients. The old clients will crash when trying to load quicksaves from this new release.

Added hydrogen bond quality requirements to the Network filter. Hydrogen bonds must be strong enough to count for a network - they will show up red if they aren't. Additionally, hovering over a network will highlight all bonds that are part of that network.

  • The Hydrogen Bond Network filter should score consistently.
  • The Hydrogen Bond Network filter should be slightly faster.
  • The chat 'reconnect' button should now function properly for all users.
