Foldit teaches about protein structure and folding during the Night of Science in Helsinki, Finland

The interdisciplinary research consortium LIBER (Life-Inspired Hybrid Materials) organized an interactive exhibit during the Night of Science in Helsinki, Finland, January 2025. Visitors were able to get hands-on experience on future materials and their development. Among other things, participants got to actively engage with Foldit and learn more about the structure and folding of proteins. The Soft Materials Modelling Group at Aalto University explained how proteins´ structure and folding relates to their own work and to the development of new, life-inspired materials.
