I don't know if I'm more frustrated … or embarassed! What is a client? And how do I access one?

Everything in your instructions is based on "opening a new one," which I shall be happy to do as soon as I know what you're talking about. I even searched your site and got the more traditional definition of client, but I don't think we're talking customer relations here, are we?

Also, is there an edit link to these comment sheets. It doesn't do me any good to be able to Preview my words if I can't go back and correct them.

In past foldit outages there have been times when scores were lost.

This info came from the players who have been through those times.

Luckily, the game coming back online this time was fairly seamless, so just restoring best should work for you.

  1. Open a new instance of Foldit and log on to the server. DO NOT start any script, wiggle shake or other action.
  2. Load the puzzle you wish to restore scores from.
  3. Go to Undo Menu -> click Restore Best. Save the current solution under a useful name.
  4. REPEAT this for each track you were using and then for each puzzle you were playing until all tracks in all puzzles are saved.
