Problem with last minute extensions is that by then I have started the final stages of my puzzle and can't go back to maybe try other things first. The usual time constraints mean that at some point I have to go to the end stage in order to maximize points but then end up with a protein that won't yield any significant points for me and playing for just decimals at a solo or lower evolver level is no fun.

And I am very sorry for it. The full reason is that it is spring break, and Mike, who prepares our puzzles, is off representing our Uni in Ultimate Frisbee two thousand miles away…

This is an outrage!
On behalf of our flock of frustrated folders, I demand that Mr Mike be recalled from his precious competition this very instant.
Furthermore, I ask that the next puzzle be an exact likeness of Mike, so that we may twist his arms, legs and nose in all possible ways.
(Seriously, if Mike is in charge of puzzle preparation, it means he's doing a great job and has earned some time off…)
