It's the start of a brand new year in Foldit - 2014 saw a lot of changes, but we want to know… what sort of puzzles are you looking forward to this year?

puzzle points should reflect the effort that they take, so for 2015 my wish would that this would be reintroduced to fold it.
just to clarify - anecdotally many players put the same high scoring design up for every design puzzle - this takes little effort and they can focus on other puzzles.
Conversely refinement puzzles may appear simple but are each different and still require effort to get a score.
Puzzles which had 150 or higher point scores were the big science challenges which were also technically punishing, hard on the computer and usually slow. I don't have any problems with those getting higher points awarded, we just haven't had any for a while.
Also we all used to play the beginner puzzles for points in those days and I think the separate beginner puzzles are a good idea. Although I would like to see them in my player list if I attempt them (with no scores) as I still like to play them depending on how busy I am.
my wish list is more sym puzzles - but not design unless they are science challenges; too slow
more ED and more contacts - especially unsolved ones.
revisiting and refinement are ok as they help to improve skills but a bit dull. imho
proteins not resolved, denovos, hand folding.
I think the past hiv and ebola have motivated us more than any other type of puzzle, as spmm says: scientific value
Could we have some really easy ED puzzles to learn how to do them?
I can't see anything but a cloud in ED, so I play "in the dark". I hate the multi-layer symmetry ones with all the filters – they are unplayable on my machine and you can't see or work with scripts that deal with the interaction of dimers. I can't even see if the dimers bond. I can't figure out why an AA is green in the middle of a helix on one side 1/3 of the way down, but not 2/3 of the way down. So not realistic for us ordinary people. 1027b was one too many. I promise not to try again. Go smaller or fix the tools and filters on these puzzles to match the machines your players have. You could survey that.
Please keep some smaller proteins us ordinary people can manage. The ebola, Alzheimer's, flu and other sorts of timely proteins are motivating
I can't believe it, but I'd like to go back to contact mapping. I was just starting to figure those out and they disappeared.
The only reason I do not like the redo of "old" puzzles is that some long term players can pull out their "old" solutions. So it does not feel like a level playing field for us "not quite so old" players.

We do appreciate your asking for feedback. Sorry, I should not post late at night
Thanks, and do keep sending us puzzles.

I mean create an area where the focus is just
the science and not point getting.
People could join this area and just work on puzzles
without trying to get points.
Then having more help with the technical aspect
of doing puzzles or science
