We've updated the scores as accurately as possible for the two previous Hold it! puzzles. Those who were able to meet the conditions and report a score previously have received a bonus of 10,000 points. Thus, the top rankings are the same as they were before, and everyone else who played is ranked after that.
When analyzing solutions, will you also look at group shares ?
I have 3 different solutions, 2 bonded properly and 1 did not but was very very close and scored well without a lot of weird mutations.
Just curious as something like that might be a better solution than the one that bonded properly, and it would be a shame if it was lost without anyone looking at it.
I also think that the constraints on this second puzzle were very difficult to work with. is it possible to set a tolerance for the structure, rather than an absolute lock, so that it can move a tiny bit ? I think this tiny movement would really help to get things lined up, but still lead to "realistic" possibilities, as the protein would be a little flexible would it not ? Even if the currently locked portion had a tolerance of 0.5% - 1% it would be a lot easier to work with I believe, and would help get things going when wiggling/shaking too I think.
Yes, group uploads will show up in the solutions that we analyze.
If we do puzzles like this in the future, we're going to try to take a more relaxed approach to the conditions without such hard cutoffs.
Thanks, good to know.
Not saying it was the best solution, or even remotely what you are looking for, just one I spent a lot of time on, and hope it gets a glance at the very least
:)
