Sorry you're leaving Foldit bkoep and disappointed there'll be no more monthly videos. I imagine they were a fair bit of work to create but I enjoyed watching them and think that many other Foldit players did too. No doubt you're leaving for pastures new but I'm wondering what direction Foldit will now be taking: it sounds as if there will be fewer design puzzles (pity: I liked those) but is small molecule design the way things are going? And will there be a scientist who will replace you?
I second that @bkoep . I'm sorry for us to see you leave, happy for you to take on a new adventure which I'm confident will be successful. You have great communication and people skills and they will will be useful regardless of the path you follow. Thank you for your support and encouragements. All the best and good luck with your endeavours !
Thank you for the kind words @spvincent and @"Bletchley Park"! It is difficult to predict where Foldit will go next; currently there is quite a bit of activity in small molecule design and electron density puzzles. As long as the project is purely research-oriented, future directions can change quickly based on research findings in the field, the ideas of Foldit scientists, and the work of Foldit players!
Bkoep, well done at foldit! There is no doubt that you will add value wherever you go. Congratulations on your contributions and accomplishments at foldit, and best of luck in the next stage of your career in this very important area of science.
