Got silent crash to desktop using "R" during a global wiggle.
Not fixed !
Also, everything seems sluggish - like there has been something added in the computations that is making everything take longer.

Using bands on the fly is a great benefit. It's still a little buggy though. I've been using app. for ten minutes putting in bands and removing them all while wiggling. No problems until I used Hot Key "R" to remove bands. App. crashed as soon as I did.

I would remind everyone that those whose complain loudly without taking the mental effort to read two lines of text only qualify themselves.
As has been quite clearly noted, this is a developer preview, available to interested players if they take explicit steps to enable it. It is not released to the general public. This being so, attentive readers save themselves embarrassment.
Thanks for your comments! I've added the comments here to the feedback tracker under Developer Preview and addressed them, and posted a new update to beta.
If there are any troubles with the new update, please log them in the feedback tracker.
Regardless of what you call it, an update downloaded when logging in to the "main" version of Fold.it
There was no update for at least two weeks.
I think you had to download the program again because you switched back from alpha (DP) to beta (main release).
If we can find bugs in a few moments, this is a premature release to general public. Beta testers are happy to help but not happy to waste time. Why release now?
Developers couldn't find these bugs on their own?
Developers want to line up future work while still debugging earlier problems?
Developers have no Mac's inhouse?
None of the above.
At this point it appears the issues with the developer preview have been addressed and no major ones are arising. Therefore, the developer preview should be ready for release.
Yes…I have reviewed the present dev release and can find no outstanding problems for the Windows environment…Others in the Linux and Mac communities who have chosen to support this effort should post their recommendation
Obviously, anyone who finds a glaring problem should also say something pretty quick or be satisfied with what others have done for you…
