Hello,
I am currently a college student majoring in Biology. My professor introduced me to your page so that I can visually see how a protein is folded. However, I am unable to do the puzzles because there is not a download option for Chromebooks. I believe that this website would be very helpful towards learning more about proteins. Please help those with Chromebooks have the opportunity
to play the games.
Thank you.
I am having the same problem here too! :( I want to help out science too!
There are lots of students who would use this, and teachers who would use it in their science and game design classes, but we cannot access it because we are all on Chromebooks.
Foldit runs on Linux, and you can install Linux on a Chromebook. Maybe this would work.
Disclaimer: I haven't tried it myself.
If worse comes to worse, you can probably still help
fight coronavirus and the fields of protein folding and
design with the programs Rosetta@Home and Folding@Home.
See https://fold.it/portal/node/2008963 for more details.
It works on chromebooks. I just treated it like a normal linux application with the linux sandbox environment enabled.
Sounds like good news, thanks @test_account123322
I found a couple articles on to enable Linux support on Chrome:
Set up Linux on your Chromebook
Linux apps on on Chrome OS
