We get the full bonus or punishment for the NN performance or BUNS. Because the recipes have no clue how close we are or not to enhance the result (79.9% or 30% similarity gives the same 0 bonus points, we can see only the performance by our eyes) it is very hard to evolve a close to 80% solution to above 80% using wiggles and shakes.
I would suggest a reward with a small amount of points the similarity (let say up to 10 points) to give an aid to the recipe how to evolve the solution.
Regarding BUNS: Sometimes even a small movement of the ligand causes a BUNS. If would be possible to "see" by recipe how close we are to the limits (by awarding a small amount of points, eg. up to 5 points), this problem would be solvable in a much easier way.
Without it, recipes are "blind" and in case of BUNS both recipes and hand folding players are "blind".
