The alignment tool does not show up when working on basic threading activity.

We found the culprit, and hope to push the fix out for this very soon :-)

That fix should now be available in the latest pre-release client, which you can learn how to access here: https://foldit.fandom.com/wiki/Devprev. This update should go live to all clients in the next couple days.
