Just like we can type Q to recenter the protein, could we get a hotkey to bring the protein from a half mile deep into the monitor to the fore surface. Sometimes when type Q the protein is centered but is so far back it can take up to 7 or 8 left-click and drag downs to bring so it is clearly visible.
Just in case you didn't know, you can also use the mouse-wheel to zoom (instead of left-clicking and dragging).
It would be nice to have a hotkey for this, though!
Ah. Thanks. I forgot to mention that yes you can use the wheel, but that's almost as bad as the drag.
….or just make Q so it doesn't send the protein to the back in the first place.
The Home key, in addition to centering, brings the protein to normal depth and whatever it considers to be normal rotation - I suspect it places the middle of the protein where it would be if it were reset.
