change blue colour in selection interface

I find the blue colour in the selection interface hides a huge amount of really useful information like the colour of the side chains and the redness of a segement, so that just when you need that info ie when you are doing something with segments it all disappears. No useful info also when running a script as well to stabilise.

Also to make it worse the blue selected segs are shown as cartoon thick, and I use cartoon thin so it really makes it harder to use.

The cross hatching that appeared for a while might be a possible alternative to show what has been selected.

I know a lot of people use the selection interface only, and I would certainly use it more if it was not blue. There are other differences as well which make it a bit harder to swap between selection and advanced interfaces and they have been covered in other posts as far as I know.

bump for this - with the advent of cutpoints and the videos using the selection interface it certainly has some advantages and now I swap back and forth a lot.
However the blue really makes difficult cutpoints even harder to see and whilst you are wiggling etc typically you are looking for other clues or scanning the rest of the protein looking for the next bit (cutpoint usually) to work on.
The blue robs you of so much info and is very thick so hides even more.
