Combining human intutition with electronic computing power

perhaps the intuition humans use for folding proteins can be defined by a finite set of rules of thumb. If this was the case, human folding of proteins could be reliably simulated by computers and carried out at a much higher speed.

Those rule of thumbs could possibly be discovered by having people thinking aloud while trying to design proteins via foldit and having those thoughts recorded.

Sorry, when I wrote this suggestion I did not know that improving protein folding software by studying human protein folding was already an essential aim of the foldit project. So you may just ignore my suggestion.
