This may only be a problem in countries outside the U.S. (I'm from Australia).
Even though I'm logged in from using the Feedback section on the Foldit website, after clicking the Forum link and waiting for the forum to load (some 15 - 30 seconds), it comes up with "You are not allowed to post new content in the forum", and the list of forum topics are missing.
I usually have to hit refresh/reload a couple of times, before the forum loads properly.
I don't know if the web browser I'm using has anything to do with it, but if it helps, I'm using the latest version of Google Chrome. My Internet connection is fairly solid, so it can't be that.

but clearly the forum error is still a problem.
i have that same issue, trying t view the forum from denmark using firefox browser.
I just tried again; this time around it displayed the forum OK (with me logged in), but it still took at least 30 seconds to load.
Are login accounts synchronised across all website sections (Feedback, Forum, Recipes, etc.)? Are there any sections running off separate servers, or are they all on the same server?
Still seems to be a problem today with the global forum and the Void Crushers group forum is not loading either, although there are some old posts visible at the bottom of the group page.

hardly ever loads fine, and is always slow (germany).
Thanks for letting us know that this is still broken, we thought it was fixed yesterday!
Until this gets fixed, you should be able to view the Forum if you log out.
So opening http://fold.it/portal/forum/5 in a different web browser than the one you usually use should at least let you view the Forum until we figure this out.
Again, we apologize for this and thank you for your patience.
Only one small downside to that beta helix, one cant post to a forum thread unless one logs in - and then - guess what - it doesnt load. haha.
