Even just simple grid lines on the GUI would help us know if the sss are spaced evenly or aligned properly instead of us having to guess which introduces just a lot of randomness.

Another thing that would help check the alignment of
parts of the protein would be to be able to switch
the display from perspective projection (far things
appear closer together than near things) to parallel
projection (the apparent separation between two
objects is the same whether the objects are close to
