I read in chat that another player passed away, recently.
It lowers my spirits to know other folderers are gone and won't be back… at least not in this plane of existence.
Would it be possible to add an icon to their profiles, honoring their memory? A set of angel wings was suggested. You could start looking here with some free clip art:

My team has lost two players in the short time we've been around. One to a rejected transplant and the most recent to a heart attack on the 4th. I'd love to see a set of angel wings on their profiles so people know they didn't leave due to disinterest.
It's a great idea. We've lost members in years past and it would be nice to be able to let others know that they're gone and will be missed.

We are very sad to hear about the recent Foldit players that we have lost and we are already discussing how best to honor their memories.

You could let players pick among several icons on their profile settings.
Arlington National Cemetery has different tombstones for different faiths.
