There is a new cool Objective in 2319 puzzle : "Ligand Hydrophobic interaction".
By using the "Show" checkbox, we can visualize zone where we want interactions, they appear as a red cloud.
It can be interesting to have a different color (like green) when the interaction is satisfied. And each part (I mean hydrophobic sidechain) is independant of course.
It is not always very easy to know which all constraint are satisfied.
It can helps to know what to improve (to have the "total interaction 3/3").
In preview mode, maybe we can see what atom on our ligand interact with the hydrophobic sidechain too. But it is bonus.

From my understanding of the compound library, the 3D rendering in the selection window should be separated from the main GUI of the game. If my guess is right (based on the behavior of the UI) its only combined with the protein after clicking accept.
Plus, due to the current method of aligning library hits onto user design, the automatically generated interaction pattern would probably be problematic, until the alignment method is improved.
But it'd be cool if they could implement this (or something similar) after improving the library compounds alignment. Probably need an extra preview window, maybe can add a checkbox of "preview interaction" next to each library hit and popup a window of interaction preview.
From my understanding doing the interaction preview require Foldit to extract that part of protein e.g. 5A from player's design (the whole protein is too big), copy to a file and add a copy of freshly generated aligned 3D ligand in it. That the copied protein+ligand file wouldn't be used if the player decide to accept the ligand in the main GUI. Using on-demand preview windows could help to avoid the unnecessary steps of copying the protein to all library hits (can be over 70 hits in other puzzles).
