If non-mutable segments are selected as well as mutable segments, currently the manual AA selection is unavailable. This option should be available if any mutable segment is selected, and change those segments without affecting non-mutables.
This would make the mutation process much quicker at the beginning of a puzzle when a player may wish to change all mutables, but have to either select each segment individually or be a scripter.
