This would be a great help - there are many times when it would be good to have a private word with someone who is not on IRC.

I believe that Seagat meant to add to client. It's good to be able to send a message via website - but would be better sometimes to have a short private conversation…

Bumping this. I have found that there are players who have never even heard of IRC (gosh, but that makes me feel old). I would like to be able to send them (and anyone) in-game PMs.
