I feel that puzzles like 801 scoring should be scrapped from the rankings and only 801b be used. This is not the first time that rankings have been affected by incomplete puzzles. In my case I have been affected negatively but I would feel worse if I gained rankings by getting an early high that may have been overtaken later if it had been kept on.
It has been excluded, just that cytotoxin closed at around the same time. If you look in the overall listing of puzzles, 801 is not listed in the closed puzzles. I thought the same at the time until I checked.
