I would like to see how many move I have in the client. It is small, and not crucial, but it is something that I would like to always be able to see. It is also a good motivational tool, especially after the first moveing achievements, it isn't just a "I will add a million bands to make it go up!" That ends around 100k. JUst a thought.
In a possible future stats page
for me it is the least number of moves to get a high score ie I would be folding better, so that would be interesting, but the foldit client is so demanding already on system resources I would be happy to see a total somewhere else at the end of a puzzle if at all.
Are there any LUA Foldit commands that let you start a move counter and then later read the total number of moves recorded since the counter began? You can use timers to do benchmarking a bit like this right now, but recording how much the score improves per number of moves would be a more portable measure, since different computers will spend different amounts of time per move. Also, (change in score)/(change in time) can vary based on how busy a particular computer is, while (change in score)/(number of moves) should not.
I don't really have a problem wth system. I can run 6 clients fine. I do have a new computer though. Perhaps it could be an option?
Hm, interesting thought. That could be useful. I don't think there is anything like that now.
