Description

As mentioned in Puzzle 600, we are giving you server predictions for the last non-refinement CASP10 target. Resetting the puzzle will cycle through 8 different server predictions (that are similar to one another) and they are available in the Alignment Tool so you can use partial threading between them. Please try out each start, as the topology that initially scores poorly may actually be the closest to the native and will eventually score better than everything else.

Would it be possible to also have the top alignments available along with the server predictions so that we can use both for partial threading?

The thought was to have 2 different kinds of predictions for each CASP10 target:
1) From top available alignments &
2) From server starting models

It would have been nice to have maybe a third & final puzzle where we could merge the two (or add in Rosetta server models like we started to do with CASP ROLL puzzles, until the puzzle load just got too crazy!).

Unfortunately (or fortunately if you are sick of CASP10 ;-) this actually was the final CASP10 puzzle where we give you alignments & server multi-starts.

All the new CASP10 puzzles from now on should just be refinement targets.

Maybe your suggestion can be brought up again once CASP ROLL starts up again… although hopefully they give us all a bit of a breather until then!
