The strings are now in the translation files, so they can be translated. It's still up to the community to do the new translations. After they are done, we can integrate them into the new clients.

These are unresolved problems (that is, there are still multiple strings for which the available translations are not displayed).

As an example, I attach an composite image which shows in the top-left an msgid from the current .pot file (the translation template); below this are three screen shots from the third tutorial in level 1 (Level 1-3) displayed in three different translations (Hebrew, Indonesian and Polish). In these three screen-shots I have inserted the relevant section from the .po file (the translated template) showing the same msgid as in the current .pot file and the available msgstr (the translation). In each case, a translation is provided (and there appear to be no format errors with the msgstr entries) but it is not displayed.

Analysis of other strings, for which translations fail to display, suggests that at least some of these problems arise because the msgid's are not up-to-date. An example (from Level 1-1): the msgid "CLASH is bad in protein!" (as in the current .pot file) should be "CLASHES are bad in proteins!" (as in the game). Changing the msgid "CLASH is bad in protein!" in a .po file to "CLASHES are bad in proteins!" allows the translation (msgstr) to be displayed correctly. In the example from Level 1-3 above, the msgid text appears to be correct but perhaps the line break and/or number and location of spaces are not. An up-to-date .pot file would help resolve that question for this and the many other instances of undisplayed translations.

The current POT-Creation-Date is: 2013-04-29 14:51-0700. Please can we have an up-to-date .pot file created and made public. This would allow translators to check and update their files and would seem a relatively simple first step towards solving this ongoing problem.

It would be great if this can be done, on a regular basis, who knows where in the world great folders are? :D

Is it possible update POT-file? It is from 2013 year still. Half of messages can not translated. It is below than failure translation at all.
