can't load any recipes

  1. One client instance
  2. working ingame IRC connection
  3. logged on site
  4. "old" interface (not selection)

Do that and it will work.

I have the same proble.
Win XP SP3, 32 bit
Logged into website and running client, play online, either in a puzzle, or in the menue, nothing works.
Doe not work for Firefox 10 or Internet explorer 7

Good point, it does not.
All three (Global, group, puzzle) are "trying to connect" or greyed out. Any idea why?

That may be the problem.
Even mIRC does not work.

I have no firewall installed. Ergo,it's the win firewall or intenet safety settings.
I cannot change the winfirewall, but I can add exceptions.
I already added foldit as an exception and allowed for echo etc., but to no avail.
I can also add exception ports
What are the ports used by the foldit softrware, and is it UDP?
Whatelse do I have to "except".

Alternatively, I could run foldint on a second PC, get the cookbook file, and copy it manually to the other machine. Is that possible? If so, what is the folder and file the cookbook programming is saved in?
