not a valid win32 application

Went to upgrade to the newest client, downloaded it, installed it and this is what I get:
Image and dxdiag attached. Thank you in advance for any help you can give…. if this is already in the forum and I over looked it, sorry…

the installer runs fine, just downloaded another copy just in case the one I downloaded earlier was corrupted in someway during download. However it still does not work same error message.

Hmm, if the installer runs fine, there may be an issue with the included exe file. I recommend a virus scan on your PC, it may be infected and try to infect the program as it starts, otherwise Foldit may want to take a look at their package.

There are daily scans done on the computers in the house, the likely hood of it being a virus is slim. But I shall do another scan in the morning :) Will post results.

upon right clicking on the installer it said at the bottom that it was blocked, clicked unblock… and sha-bam! it installed and updated! I do not know why it had the block on it.
It was a complaint the computer had with the program about it coming from another computer.
That seems to have fixed the issue, well at least it has launched… now I need to start over, but hey that is the way it goes!

ssl connection error now, it seems that my computer is not trusting the Foldit.exe for some reason.

Any ideas to get it to connect?

I read several other posts about uninstalling and reinstalling the game client, seems as though a while back they had an issue with not being able to log into (or onto) the server.
But this is a new client…
