This is sad news indeed. She was an amazing folder and community member, wish I had gotten the chance to get to know her better. My thoughts and prayers are certainly with her family and friends.

She is sorely missed. She really loved FoldIt and I learned so much from her.
(And grr, I hope someone can delete that spammer from the thread.)
Very, very deserved sweet dreams.
Even though I haven;t been around in years, this sad news came as such a shock that it has brought me to a torrent of tears.
I used to fold with auntdeen all the time back when Anthropic Dreams first started and was still an up and coming group. We'd evolve together sometimes, kicking a protein back and forth, and … it was just so much FUN!
After I left foldit she never stopped writing me from time to time to entice me back; always so kind, so positive, so encouraging…
I remember how reticent she was at first, to take the leadership roll of Anthropic Dreams officially, but in fact, she was already our de-facto leader from the time she first joined Anthropic Dreams. She was the only one who KNEW EVERYONE of us, and not just the team members, but all the players from other groups also, and the foldit staff as well.
Always so easy and fun to chat with, for everyone, always tirelessly helpful; always firm but gentle with unruly newcomers in chat.
I used to always call her just ad for short. Pure coincidence, that those were also the initials of Anthropic Dreams, but so fitting because she was so the heart and soul of the team.
For those interested… her many, many friends…Here is an article of remembrance I just found online:

God Bless you ad, so proud and honored to have known you, folded with you, and to have been your team-mate.
Best wishes to auntdeen's family, and to all her Fold-it family as well, both Anthropic Dreams members and everyone.
Farewell…

Auntdeen was a reference, not only as a master player but also for her cleaver advice in all social aspects of the game. She was keeping the right Science spirit of the game and she helped me a lot.
I'll miss her.
In Burkina Faso, they would say "que la terre lui soit légère".

Auntdeen was such a competent, insightful and patient tutor to so many. A gifted communicator who, as a mod, showed deep understanding.
I miss her - I know many do……and so she lives on.
She leaves a legacy for many I think - something to aspire to.
You may be lost to us for now auntdeen, but forgotten? U bet not. :)
