We are pleased to announce the release of a linux version of Foldit!  You can find a text download link for it near the other downloads.  We should have an image up shortly.

Let us know if you encounter any difficulty with the new version.

Hi. I'm totally new to the whole fold.it thing, but upon hearing that a Linux version had been released, I figured I'd give it a shot. However, I encounter an error when I run the program. Here it is:

Hi,

I tried Fold It with wine, but I can only play the puzzle levels upt to level 3. If level 4 is loading or a competition puzzle it looks like the xserver is crashing and I am at the login screen. I hoped that the linux version would fix it, but there I have the same problems.
It doesn't matter if compiz is enabled or not. I don't know why it is chrashing :/

I read some post in the forum. The people who are running windows have the same problems. Looks like a problem with the grafic card.

I have a Intel X3100/945GM inside of my notebook and I am running Ubuntu 8.04 64 bit.
